The Karri & Cellar Doors day
We loop south through the karri forests around Manjimup and Pemberton, stop for a long lunch at a family-run winery, and finish with a quiet cellar door tasting on the way home. Perfect for a couple's day out or a small group.
The Artisan Food trail
Cheese, olives, chocolate, cider — the Blackwood Valley punches well above its weight. We build the day around the makers who happen to be open, keep the driving gentle, and always leave room for a bakery stop.
Forests, waterfalls and wildflowers
In spring the roadsides bloom with orchids and everlastings. We chase the best flowers, walk gently to a hidden waterfall or two, and share a picnic in a quiet clearing.
A slow day for grandparents and grandkids
Feeding kangaroos at Donnelly River Village, ice cream in Bridgetown, a paddle in a shallow river bend — designed for gentle days and short attention spans, with plenty of stops.
Our recommendations
A few favourites, from us to you
Bring your camera
Golden hour in the karri forest is genuinely other-worldly. We know where to be when the light lands.
Ask about a picnic upgrade
Local cheese, sourdough, seasonal fruit and a flask of good coffee — laid out at a lookout you'd never find alone.
Combine with a hike
Add a gentle two-hour section of the Bibbulmun Track and finish the day feeling like you earned dinner.
Local tips
Little things that make a big difference
- Tell us what you love, not just what you want to see — we'll design around it.
- Comfy shoes, a warm layer and a curious mood are all you really need to bring.
- Groups of five or six travel most comfortably; we keep it small on purpose.
- Prefer no plan? Say the word and we'll surprise you gently.
No two days we run are quite the same. Tell us who's coming and what you'd love out of the day, and we'll come back with a suggestion made just for you.
